Windy but warm today with high in the 60's with lots of rain.

Took the mower deck to the welder yesterday, guy said they could probably do it but couldn't confirm or quote till the boss got back.

Looks pretty good, time will tell once it's all back together, installed, and fired up.

I was wrong about Remi's eye.
I finally got a good look at it this morning. It was damaged. She appears to be blind in that eye. She's having a hard time eating from my hand. I hope with her personality she will be able to adapt.

I suppose that helps with the decision and that you will keep her and rehome the bantams instead. Poor girl.

Good afternoon everyone!

I brought another freshly brewed pot to help us with the nasty cold weather.

After some days of wonderful sunshine and warmer temperatures, we are back to grey allover, freezing cold and strong winds.

Finn arrived on Sunday evening and is doing great so far. Sadly, I cannot upload a video here and as I do not have any accounts on Yout*be or similar platforms, there will only be some pictures coming soon.

She seems to be doing better. She roosts early and comes out last. She flew up to the perch in front of the nest boxes and did much better eating raisins from my hand. She actually plucked one I was holding with my fingers. She also came out for scratch.
If I'm going to sell Nap and Tonk I better get to it. NYS shut down all poultry meets and shows due to 4 cases of HPAI in the state. All downstate. As it is, I won't permit someone to come here to get them. I'll meet them elsewhere then wash my clothes and shoes and shower before going around my flock again.
I've continued to release my flock to their pen as we've not had any cases within 100 miles of here.
