I had two "Oops" moments with the birds when I forgot to close the run door and went out to feed them and they met me at the pen gate. Thanks goodness for high voltage electricity.

Think I will grow up the pullet I discovered of the 4 I hatched.

I shoveled compost and dirt and helped stack some wood. Gonna do more of the same tomorrow, if my arms don't fall off and my back still works.

Sucks getting older. Yeah, the alternative is worse, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Good luck rehoming them.

But I think that this time of year people hardly buy roosters, but hatching eggs instead.

Patches of snow on the grass out there. It's melting and dripping off the trees over the house, so it sounds like it's raining.

Really hope we can get the rototiller started today.

DH has been splitting the wood from the 5 trees we had taken down last November. One of the oaks was leaning way over the house. And it's the one that is full of termite grubs. So glad it's not there anymore!

I dug a lot of grubs out of the wood for the chickens. They were appreciative.
