Now that the ground hogs appear to have been eliminated,
the chickens get a 'run' in the 'garden'.

DL, that is NOT spring weather! (It is for us however.)
DH and I brought the tree down and chipped the branches today. It was a crazy unique tree and took about 4 hours total, with a lunch break included. I was sad to have to finish it off but it was too dangerous to leave. Of course it was trying to hang up in another tree, too. Tonight, we are having leg of lamb and veggies.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

My back is still killing me from shoveling out for the dogs and chickens. I never even went past the passage door to the garage or do the driveway and front walk. The temp remained between 32 and 37 yesterday but the ground was warm before the storm so the snow melted from the bottom. The driveway should be bare by the end of today and lots of blacktop is showing. I'm grateful that I won't have to shovel it. It was HEAVY!!

April snow is the worst to shovel. Just like NovemberDecemberJanuaryFebruaryMarch snow.

DH brought home a big box of scrap lumber from work yesterday. I'm going to build something out of it. I'm thinking a step stool for me.

These are heavy duty pieces (15-20") of 2x4 and 2x6. SCORE!
