I was forced to don my winter coat to run the dogs. This weather is crazy.

We had plans to see grandson play in a baseball game, but canceled them. Driving more than an hour and then sitting on metal stands in the high wind just doesn't seem like fun. There's another game tomorrow.

Snowed here overnight, the temp has now risen from 28°F to 34°F. Annoying but wouldn't be an issue if:
- I didn't have to take DW's Prius to the mechanic by 9 AM for brake line replacement
- The stupid alpacas hadn't pooped inside. I guess they don't like to poop in the snow. The don't mind standing in it, they've come in with an inch of snow on their backs.

There is a little frost on the grass. Construction begins today. I have to get out and remove the tarps.

The sunshine of the last two days should have warmed up the green house. I hope.

Tomorrow DH will use the new mower for its inaugural run. My job today is to go remove any rocks/sticks. I'll have a "helper" (Freya), who may or may not be of any help.

My maybe-broody is really on and off again, that's for sure. She wants to sleep in the nest box. She wants to sit there for hours. Then she's out and about for hours at a time. Good thing I'm not having her sit on any eggs. I'm thinking I'll get out the broody crate and put her in it for a couple days.

Good luck, DL! It is sunny here but they say "Snow and wind for us."
I will be brewing some more coffee...
I had my bought plants out hardening off before planting and the sheep managed to track them down on the porch . Sheep like hot pepper plants and cabbage and pansy flowers.
They didn't touch my tomatoes or the marigolds. I tell ya what! Flavored mutton...
I would love to have a real broody!

Well the contractor never showed up and his phone is turned off.
For that matter the neighbor didn't show up either. So I decided to drive down to the lumber yard and pick up the 90 sq ft of additional rough cut stock I wanted for the roof deck.
This is what I was greeted with.

I don't listen to or watch the news so I was unaware that the entire place burned to the ground Tuesday.

There is another lumber yard right around the corner that's offered to lend them their planer on Fridays because they don't work on Fridays. They're still waiting for the insurance claim to go through so they can rebuild.

On my way home I decided to run Bella and stopped at the field days and remembered there was a little table that the fireman said I could have for the chickens so I at least loaded that up.
