My neighbors/friends... if they say they'll be there, they'll be there. Or call and apologize profusely.

I imagine that's quite bad for business.
My husband is a contractor and has his own business. He recently switched phone providers because sometimes when he was at home his cell phone wouldn't take a call. It bothered him so badly he made the switch.

It's a repeat of yesterday weather wise.
I finally was able to leave a message to the contractor and not surprisingly, he never answered. I'd punch him right in the throat if I could.
So I've posted to Nextdoor looking for someone to recommend a contractor or have one contact me via the post. I'll be surprised if I get this room done before we leave, 2 weeks from today.

Guess it's better that they don't respond than to show up and do a shitty job.

Was supposed to haul my old CRT tv to a special recycling event today.
Was not looking forward to the usual very long line line.
Messaged yesterday to make sure there was no fee,
and learned I can take it somewhere else any Tu-Sa.
Rumor had it that place started charging, but they don't!
Am very glad I don't have to do that today.

Supposed to rain most the day.

This is the same guy that helped with the front porch and it came out good. I have no idea why he did this.
I texted my neighbor and he called me and said he knows 2 people that can do it but he doesn't know if they're available. He's calling them now.
