Yesterday was a perfect day. Sunny, not too chilly, and VERY productive. Today is not sunny, but hopefully as productive.

My broody is off/on with her broodiness. I will get out the crate and explain to her that she has to stop this. In my head, I'm telling myself that she's trying it out to see if she really wants to do this next spring, and raise some chicks for me.

Happy weekend and thanks for the coffee! DL, I am sorry the project is not proceeding as planned and I hope the guy is okay, like aart said. It seems strange but I know the contractors around here are booked solid and running around like crazy.
Our weather is sun, rain, and snow, rotating throughout the day and this week with the temps between 28F-50F with breezes added in here and there. Not quite gardening time.

I know I'm making assumptions BUT... when his phone goes from "immediately goes to voice mail = phone turned off" (all morning) to "rings and goes to voice mail late afternoon (I leave voice mail that he hasn't responded to)", he's likely just fine and avoiding me.
He called me 5 days ago.
He answered the text 4 days ago when I suggested we could do Fri/Sat vs. Thurs/Fri if that worked better for him and wrote "Okay that'll work". Then NOTHING. So as far as I'm concerned, he's been tossed into the inconsiderate, unprofessional A-hole bucket.

This is the same guy that helped with the front porch and it came out good. I have no idea why he did this.

It rained lightly, off and on all afternoon. We got some stuff done, but I would have been more productive if the rain had stayed in the "off" position from 2-4. We're supposed to get a good soaking this evening, and hopefully tomorrow is dry. I want to get some more cool weather stuff planted.

Widget, my sort of broody pullet, is in a broody breaker crate now. I'll see if Monday at lock up she goes for the roost or the nest.
