Thanks! Me too. We bought 200 chicks so the loss could have potentially been quite large.

That is probably why they were able to stay warm despite the power outage.

Was supposed to haul my old CRT tv to a special recycling event today.
Was not looking forward to the usual very long line line.
Messaged yesterday to make sure there was no fee,
and learned I can take it somewhere else any Tu-Sa.
Rumor had it that place started charging, but they don't!
Am very glad I don't have to do that today.

Supposed to rain most the day.

Here we pay a recycling fee for anything with a screen. Laptops are 4 dollars.

Then we take them to the County landfill for free.

We are dealing with this with a fence that was replaced last year! I will need to replace 5 of the boards due to warping.....

Hey Cafe dry day here mostly the sun is out..
We are not allowed to recycle by our waste management notice .. Unless we pay them for service we cannot recycle.

There was about 1.5" of rain in the bucket I had out in the garden. A good soaking.

Today I planted another 80 onion sets; 40 red and 40 white. I planted some beets by the red onions, and broccoli by the white.

I'm not a fan of beets. They taste like dirt to me. This particular variety, Red Detroit, is supposed to have the least amount of the stuff that causes the dirt taste, so we'll see. If nothing else, I'll use the greens in frittatas. And I'll know if I can ever say, "I like beets."

I gotta say, I love the color of beets.
