BYC Café

I met with the first guy that responded to my post. NOT impressed.
The neighbor texted that the guy that did the addition on their house wanted to look at the job but I haven't gotten a reply back yet on when he wants to come over.
I got a second hit on the ad, met them and like them a lot. Just waiting to see what the fee will be for the labor. And if we can get it done before we leave for vacation in 2 weeks.

I thought this was appropriate given the projects underway.
I believe that is highly accurate!

We are not allowed to recycle by our waste management notice .. Unless we pay them for service we cannot recycle.
Here recycling at the transfer station is free if you bring trash (for a fee). We have weekly "curbside" in our taxes in the town where I live.

Most recycling hasn't been free here for a decade.
The county conservation place does hazardous, tires, electronics event...
.... but it's paid for with tax dollars and grants.
I remember the good old days, recycling was 'the thing to do', it was widely available and wildly popular. I think that's how all those piles of plastic in the ocean were created. GrumbleRant.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

Good morning! I tried to post yesterday but my internet was :sick.
2oo is a lot of chicks! I hope they are outside your house!
We have an inch of snow and it is 30F outside. Some say over a foot by the end of Wed., some say a few inches, some are saying nothing! It is at least a water filled snow and with a "record setting dry" April, we could use it.
I am off to give a friend a ride to the doctor and help with shopping chores.
Enjoy the day!

Good description of coffee! I brought another pot; drank most of the first one.

The sun is trying to break through the clouds. Go, sun, go! We have had the cloudiest April on record. Or tied the record. Also very chilly, like 3-4 degrees below average.

I hope that means a record fruit crop. The flowers are a couple weeks behind, so maybe that means not getting hit by frost. :fl

Not this time! Believe me, I've had enough of chicks in the house! 😃
Last year we raised about 300 but we did it in a few different batches. I think the most we had in a brooder at one time was 100. We did brood all of those in our basement.
My husband put up a new out building this year so we made half of it a chick brooder.
