BYC Café

Can't wait to see what it looks like when we get back.
I ran out of gas with the tractor in the chicken pen. I was grateful that Fabio didn't have all his girls up on the tractor pecking at the seat and crapping all over it when we got back with the gas.

I'm going to try to cut everything really short the Friday before we leave as we'll be gone for 2 weeks during heavy growth season.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee.

Rain delay. :lau It will be mowed today -------- I hope.

I will be away from the Cafe' for a couple of weeks. Behave in my absence. @DobieLover I'm not certain when your vacation starts, but just in case I am not back before have a good time.
Have a good time.:)

Good morning Café!

I brought a freshly brewed pot, so help yourselves to it and enjoy. :caf

It is sunny again and weather forecast predicting early summer temperatures for the next few days. The apple and pear trees are in full bloom as are the rhododendron, the wild daffodils and the tiny daisies, such a beautiful sight to see!
But is is already too dry and I have to irrigate every other evening, especially the new sowings and fruit trees.

The chicks are growing nicely at already 4 weeks old and spend most of their time outside scratching, playing and jumping about under the bushes. Some even venture up to the highest branches and have a hard time figuring out how to get down from there. 😆

Our newest family addition Finn has adapted beautifully, he is now 4 month old and he finally sleeps through the night instead of waking me up at least 3-4 times asking to be let out.

@sourland and @DobieLover : Wishing you a good time, enjoy yourselves!

Good morning Cafe and thanks for the coffee LF.

We have a similar forecast for the week. It's just beautiful out there.

DH often thinks he sees an eagle flying up here. We've seen them down in the valley, but never up here.
Yesterday he was adamant one swooped right by. I just brushed it off.
Later I went to check on the lone junco chick that hatched out of the nest that was tucked into my window box. No chick.
A crow must have darted in and taken the baby. I looked up to see the parents frantically flitting around and distressed.

When I looked at it yesterday morning it had all it's head/back feathers and about 1/4" of it's tail feathers. Poor thing.
