BYC Café

I find if i drink alcohol, it helps dry out my ear.
I think I'd have to get fall down drunk before my ear would drain.
I guess there's only one way to find out... I'm off to the liquor store!

But, but Officer, I am drying out my ear!

I have split wood, stacked wood, helped a neighbor with some huge rounds on our splitter that goes vertical, trimmed some limbs and cut down some sheep damaged aspens.
Now we have fudgy brownies for a snack to go with some hot coffee!

Hot, hot, hot, but the dogs ran well. Class of 24 and I was back home by 2:30. My body did not let me down, but my hips did complain a bit. :p
How did your dogs do?

Tink being so small can get easily shoved off her nest. To keep the big girls at bay but allow Tink to leave if she wants I opened the slider just wide enough to she could fit. I was amused by watching Wren try to push her way through the door but she couldn't fit.
When I went out this afternoon the door was pushed a little wider open so some smarter hen managed to figure out how to slide it open!
So I closed the slider, opened the two chick doors and removed a loudly screaming and complaining Tink and put her outside.
I went in the coop and waited for her. She only needed a little guidance to show her she could fit through the chick doors.
She is now back on her nest with the towel to shade her from the hot afternoon sun and her own personal duct fan to help keep her cool.

but eggs have dropped off the last few days
I think one of my 2 yo hens might be on hiatus. Or maybe she laid today, not sure. Definitely not getting 5-6 eggs in a day now. It's 3-4.

Since it's so hot, I'm not even thinking of making a frittata, so I'm water glassing the extra eggs.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

I've already left to run the dogs because it's supposed to get so stinking hot today.
I put my back out coughing yesterday. I swear my body is breaking down to the point where one good sneeze is going to do me in.
