Freya absolutely knows what I mean when I say, "Dad's home."

I wonder what else you might find.Exciting day ahead...buddy got a metal detector from a relative, put new in batteries to test, and I'm picking it up later. Hoping to have those 'lost' mower blade parts in my hand by mid-afternoon.![]()

She probably heard the car.Maggie was sleeping in the dining room when I saw the Princess pull into the parking area. I said, "Mom's home." She got up, stretched, started wagging her tail and went to the living room and looked out the window to see 'Mom'. Did she really understand what I said?
It is SO difficult. Hugs to you.I wonder what else you might find.
Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.
Yesterday I think DH had a nice time. I did not. That was the last long road trip I will take with him. He is getting really bad. In just the month that he's been under the care of the Homesteads, he has declined noticeably. I really can't deal with it any longer. Not at the level of his decline. I'll be keeping all future adventures local and limited to 4 or 5 hours. It's really sad.
His kids want to get him from July 27 to Aug 1. That is sharing the time. They are limiting their time with him to 2.5 days each. I think they are in for quite a challenge. I think this will be his last trip.
I don't think so as the Princess had already exited the car and was walking towards the house. The AC cranking away pretty muffles a lot of the outside sounds. She probably heard the car.
