BYC Café

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

The tree is off, cut up and unceremoniously tossed into the woods with lots of grumbling and mumbling. At least it had the decency to fall on the damaged part of the net where I had to cut out the buck last winter. I'll have to patch the top strand as it is sagging pretty bad.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee! We had another evening rain and that was appreciated! Yesterday was spent down at the lower ranch, mainly just letting a friend vent and BSing about his having to move and find a new place to care-take. Kinda scary, he had a written, lawyer drawn-up lease contract and the judge still ruled on hearsay, he-said, she-said against the black and white signed legal paperwork. I guess money is truly what rules the system...
I did some shopping for him and ourselves and now we are ready to fertilize the pastures up here. Enjoy the day and have some fun doing it!

One of my neighbors is thinking about getting chickens next spring. Probably 4 chickens, but, well, chicken math, ya know? They have a large shed with a high gambrel roof. No real ventilation in it now, so what's the best way to add ventilation? The roof ends at the ends of the building, zero overhang, so anything there needs awnings.

I figure if they're going to be cutting holes, getting the best placement the first time would be a good thing.

Suggestions?
