BYC Café

Good morning and thanks for the coffee!
Sour, I am very glad that your Gdogs are not driving you batty. Ours are doing well too. I just need to keep the cat (Loki!) off of them but he is settling down. There is a 5 ft growl-hiss line now, not just in sight anymore.
Thanks for the good luck wishes; they worked to get DS$ a second place with yet another very good lesson learned. This wrestling 24 +/_ yr olds is another level of intensity and a different mind-set again, but he is loving the challenges that are being presented to him. Plus he is getting very good grades which is more important.
We are off to my SIL's today to help her de-clutter her townhouse with her daughters help. The stuff left behind when her roomie moved out is overwhelming and we hope to get things back on track.
Enjoy the day!

Well I hauled up all of the Christmas decorations. And after dragging that artificial tree in the storage bag up the stairs I now know that a future career in a mob cleanup crew is not in the cards for me. That thing was as heavy as a corpse and it nearly killed me hauling it up!

I have never had a fake tree .. Must have real tree
DH's family tradition was to buy a live, potted tree. At their house in Pittsburgh, he pointed out a line of pines, saying, "'70, '71, '72, '73..." now taller than the 3 story house.

For many years, we did the same. You're a bit limited in the live potted tree department in mid-December. Plus, the rootball is HEAVY. We had a lot of trees that died; several had their main taproot cut, which we discovered when we planted them in the spring.

So we got a fiber optic tree. It fits on the table (out of reach of dogs), and is very pretty.
