Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.
Night number 2 in the bed went well. I think I'll take the crate off Bella's bed today.
Piper was nervous in her puppy class last night. She started to come around a little over half way through but was definitely reserved. Which is all good. Half the reason I took her to the class is to expose her to new things and challenge her mind.

Got my first(of this year) blue egg yesterday.
Funny one of the LB's was standing on the roost right by the mesh wall(close to where I was opening the pop door) and I looked at her and said "well, how about a blue egg, eh?"
What a great chicken!

Good morning! Yesterday was Beautiful outside so I went and got 50 bales of hay. ( And an A&W rootbeer float for my troubles.) No chiro needed here, fortunately. The next few nights are single digit fun times again and I am sure the breeze is in there somewhere.
I hope for a speedy recovery back to tolerable for you, DL! I am off running my neighbor on errands. Enjoy the day and hugs, Cafe!

So after chatting with the feed store and missing the last year's+ chick selection of breeds that I wanted multiple times, I ordered 20 dark Brahmas and hopefully all will be well from Stromberg's. I need to add some broodiness to my "herd!" My chick from the Little Chick and the 3 Hens has turned into a nice young roo and as long as he continues to play nice, which right now, being "broody raised" makes him not want to be anywhere near us, he should have his own flock.

I got 3 as well. One of my coops hasn't had a layer in months! And hubby reports there's an egg in the barn.

Must be that new and better feed. Couldn't possibly the increasing daylight period.
