It warmed up overnight here to 22F outside this morning.
I don't think my jubilation will last long as we have br-indys from Sat. night thru Tuesday,
That is a long time to have 70+ gusts, even in my play book!
They are not saying just how nasty it could get when the real stuff hits. But hey,
it could be worse for sure.
I got my chick ship date for late July! Fingers crossed that it really happens.
Good friggin thing I ordered now....sheez.

Just got out of my second chiropractor appointment. Things are definitely improving. But you don't realize just how deep the knots go until he starts working on them. Yow.

We didn't get the 6-8" of snow they forecast. We got maybe 3-4" and that's fine by me. The bottom is like sand, the top is the fluffy stuff. Glad we don't need to go anywhere today. Safe travels, Aart.

I was pleasantly surprised that Piper did very well being left out for the just over 1.5 hours I was gone!
Things like finding my solid knotty cherry cabinets gnawed on, a hole in my couch, pee and poop all over the rug, Skittles in a coma because he freaked out without me there to drive Piper away all run through my overactive mind.
She was peacefully cozied up with Skittles at the other end of the couch when I got home and she hadn't gone potty anywhere. Not even in her porta-potty so I took all of them out and she had a big pee. My little baby is growing up!

I heard a retail store got a shipment of 200 chicks. People were lined up for 2 hours before the store opened. The chicks sold out in short order!
I have managed to make a major fool of myself. I realise some of you wont be at all surprised by this admission.
I have joked in the past that my cooker timer is the smoke alarm.
There are three alarms in my flat, smoke (kitchen, living room and bedroom: panic cord, there's one in every room with a bright orange pull cord with bright orange triangles on it and then there's the fire alarm in the hallway.
I had finsished cooking in fact and had my cast iron frying pan on a ring warming up with some olive oil in to keep its seasoning after use. I'm normally pretty good when I do this and turn on the cooker extraction fan. Usually the smoke alarm goes off and I attend to the problem. I went to empty my bladder and the smoke got to the main fire alarm.
You can't turn the fire alarm off. The alarm goes to the fire station. The firebrigade arrive.
