socket ball valve
Good move!
Way more expensive than the knife valves but so much more efficient.

Wishes I could find pics of the wrench made for the ball valves in my pond.
Piece of pipe with slots on one end to fit over valve handle and a hole thru both sides of pipe to fit screw driver as a handle.

I did go out short boots. Moved the wheel barrow I intend to make a strawberry patch in.
So guess I did get all the tires cleaned out. Once the old coop is down I can go in with the little tiller break up the floor that took 8 years to cook.. Good black dirt, Fill the tires back up.

I brought more coffee. A lot to do today!

It's the only above 68 degree day in the forecast, so this will be my day to get some painting done, and a couple more outdoor things that require decent temps.

DH made it safely to North Carolina. That is a looooong drive from Michigan. Freya did well on the trip, but was bored, I'm sure.

The nearby town has what they call the "Grand Slam" the first weekend of May. An entire neighborhood has yard/garage sales that weekend. I have never gone, but a neighbor told me it is well worth it! DH and I are going this year for sure.

That town, Lowell, has certainly moved up the economic ladder. Bigger houses, and more of them. Another thing that suggests there is a fair amount of moola around is that there are at least 6 marijuana shops. :hmm And it's a small town, both in size and population. Under 4200 in 2021. No, I didn't drop a zero on the number.
When did it become legal to sell weed?

As usual, I didn't get as much done as I wanted to. I got the right side of the waterfall pretty much done but need to adjust things a bit. Barely started the left side. Did get a few landscape plants in the ground.

Sold more doody and the first couple wants to come back for more tomorrow.
The chickens have now covered 77% of their upkeep costs.

I'm very happy to report that Makenzie was looking almost normal today. She did not isolate herself like she did yesterday and scratched around with the rest of the flock (except for Jody who is busy trying to hatch eggs). Her crop is still a little squishy in the morning (nothing like it was) but she's not dribbling out her beak when she puts her head down and she has three more days to go with the miconazole. I think I may do 10 days instead of 7 just to be on the safe side.
