Good afternoon Cafe, One of the best things out here is the heat would cool
at night.
First time in memory we did not cool 80 still at 11.

We have a few more days of decent temps, and then it gets warm again. Tuesday's forecast is 88, then higher after that. DH is dreading it. I keep reminding him that we got nuthin' to complain about!

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

Last night on head count I couldn't find one of Astrid's chicks. I could feel one of them under her but the other was no where in sight. I had to turn on the lights and that's when the other one popped it's head out from under MacKenzie, the hen that was the second to go broody and I had to break. Looks like she is okay being an aunt instead.

We had a warning last night that severe thunderstorms were going to roll through between 1 and 3 am. I know it rained but if we had storms, they weren't able to wake me up.

One of our best friends is going to urgent care this morning. Bloated, fever. Not the text message I wanted to wake up to. He's had sepsis before, is often troubled with kidney stones.

Had to fix the main ramp this morning, it's been slowly tilting and today it looked worse, found a busted screw.
Got it pinned back down, but it wasn't fun(hard to reach-my back is killing me now) or particularly well done, but it's done and should hold for a good long while.
