Luckily the temps have not gotten as high as forecast, cool nights helped keep the house cooler. Rain today, hopefully not heavy enough to flood(now I can worry about that ) and the clouds are keeping the house and coop from heating up too much.

Got 11 eggs the other day, so all laying except the 2 CCL who have obviously begun molting.

For the life of me, I just can't remember a third male member of the Fifth Dimension. Showing my age I guess.

Einstein said he had no need to memorize things he could look up. And he didn't have Google to find the answers. We are lucky.

Another ground hog showed up, been a couple weeks since I shot at and missed a young'n.
Thought I heard something out there earlier without seeing anything.
Looked out this evening and it was lounging on the filter pit deck,
slid the window open s l o w l y and it barely moved if at all,
eased the rifle out and it still didn't move.
One shot and done.

I wish.

2 - wife wouldn't like it if I had one and was shooting out of the windows
3 - no double hung windows
4 - damned woodchuck is VERY wary and nervous. And fast.

Have had a rifle since I learned to shoot as a teen.
No spouse.
Vertical sliders here, one without a screen for rifle access.
They are indeed, I was amazed that this one didn't move even tho I was very slow and quiet.
Usually it take multiple tries to get a bead.

They are widening the dirt road we have to drive on to get to the dirt road we live on. Then they plan to oil the dirt and spread gravel over it. The road we live on is not maintained by the county, so nothing will be done to it.

Went one highway to Morton 10 miles away. Forgot the road is being repaved so
took 2 hours.
