I got my hip X-rayed when I had my blood draw. It's negative for arthritis! :woot

However, the tech had me lay on the hard flat table, covered me with a sheet and asked me to slide my jeans down to my knees. I couldn't do it. I couldn't push my butt up off the table while laying down. The pain in my left buttock was too much. She had to lower me back down so I could stand up and do it.
Then, putting my legs into the correct positions to get the X-rays was excruciating. I had tears in my eyes.
I've asked my Dr. to increase the dose of my meloxicam Rx and lengthen the time I can have it. I know controlling the inflammation is critical to recovery and I haven't been taking the dose she prescribed because it isn't as effective as the dose Meg gave me so I've been saving it for days I need to do a lot of work around the house. But my first PT session is Monday and I KNOW it's going to hurt so I intend to take 15mg the Sunday and Monday.
I'm glad your hips are negative. I know the pain of arthritis in hips first hand. lt's not fun. I always thought that would make it hard to walk. Well it does but it makes it harder to sit very long at a time. Wishing you well with PT. I made it through but what really helped me were those two injection deep into the hip joint. The shots were not pleasant but within 3 days things were so much better. Me doc told me not to stop taking meloxicam because I thought it wasn't helping. He said if I stopped I'd find out just how well it was working. It's for the arthritis in my hands primarily but I'm sure it helps with the shoulders too.

Hopefully you will learn how the injury happened and how to prevent it from happening again. Get out your anatomy illustration book.
I still think it was from me stepping up onto my deck from pond side and hoisting my lard a$$ up with no other assistance. The deck is 26" off the ground where I stepped up.

Our temp is down to 66 and feels like 64. That I can deal with. Drink Iced Tea or Drink Coffee and sleep usually.
We peaked at 52 with sun. I was out in shorts and bare feet with my arms in the pond pruning the marginals. It actually felt good once I got used to the water temp.

My blood is to thin for that. At one time I could cut fire wood at 20 below and drink ice tea as I did it. Coverall were half unzipped so I wouldn't sweat. Big difference in approaching 30 and 80....
