Too much hassle?

I'm no longer capable of the physicality I need for a sustainable/rotating chicken population.
Barely have the get-up-and-go for the 13 remaining hens.

25°F here this morning, nipped fingers from banding the broody and getting her set up in a breaker crate.

The wild birds are trying to nest too, they keep flying up under the wide eaves on the house and coop shed, but there is no purchase for them to settle.
