BYC Café

I have found that the day after the day after is worse than the day after.
Same here. The first few times I was sure I'd be sore the next day. Nope. But the next day...

30 years ago, the time lapse was more like 36 hours. Even my pain is slower now than it used to be. :gig

Oh, the pain, two days later I am paying the price.

I went ass end over tea kettle last night in the coop.
Do not bounce as well anymore. :idunnoThat was not fun.

How are you doing today Penny, hopefully not seriously hurt?

Sounds all only too familiar to me! For planning any heavy duty actions I need to add at least three to four days of recovery time needing a crane to help me get out of bed and upright, or rather the kind of upright I manage

No wonder retirees never have time. :old

Good morning Cafè. Hot coffee is ready. Very chilly again but thankfully no frost.

I only have to work today plus take 2 hours PTO for a full paycheck this week. I'll be working half my day from home because my family is leaving for a cruise and there will be no one to put my dogs out mid day to potty.

Good afternoon Café, and thanks for the coffee DL.

I am clinging to my mug as a manner of delaying the dreaded 💩💩💩board cleanout.
Just having to wade through a wall of heavy rain to reach the coops puts me off today. So a prolonged coffee-session it is in hopes to lift the mood.

IKR!?
I used to call that body budgeting, how much work I do depends on how long I want to sacrifice for recovering.
:gig

Good morning and thanks for the hot coffee!
I hope you all are on the track of healing up.
Yes, the 3 day Rule for Soreness has always been a thing in our family. I have been pre-emptively striking it with homemade bone broth when I know something is about to happen. It does seem to help with recovery times.
The Episode for AR is supposed to air in 2025, 3 days of the Littleton, CO show. That is all they said.
Enjoy the day, Cafe!

Good morning, Cafe'.

I say I can still do everything I was once able to do, but now it takes twice as long and hurts way more.

Lucky you! :clap
That's what the Princess inferred several weeks ago when I was whining. She said, "Just shut up." I replied, "What?" and she said, "All of your friends can't walk, can't think, or both - just stop whining." She was right.
