BYC Café

Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

I have to mow the yard and chicken pen today.
Cook some food.
Grocery shop.
Hang 3 loads of wash.
Make C's bed and put away my clothes.
Show my niece how to take care of the pond.
And I'm done.
I have to wash my body from the neck down with Hibiclens and scrub my back with it then let it sit for 5 minutes before rinsing. I'll do that tomorrow morning before we leave for the hospital.
I had a really bad night last night. The pain is ramping up.

Good morning Cafe! Thanks for the coffee.

I've come down with a bad bug. Was mild until yesterday morning and then took a turn for the worse. No voice, lots of coughing and fever are back. Hydrate and sleep will be the name of the game again today, with hopes that it starts to get better soon.

Take care of yourself.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee. Thinking of you, DL. :hugs

Take care of yourself.
Thanks guys.

I admit, I'm more nervous about this surgery than any other because she's going to be messing with my spine. But everyone I've talked to that has had my surgery type done has said it was the best thing they ever did.

My surgeon has a quiet confidence about her and that put me at ease. I did explain about losing Dave recently and that, when stressed or nervous, I think more about that loss and end up crying. That it's not her. It's just the sadness can get to me easier in those stressful situations. She was very understanding and compassionate.

I will hold positive thoughts throughout the entire process. I want to do everything she tell me to do for my healing and recovery so I have the best possible outcome. Then I'm going to do everything I can to get my strength and flexibility back and ALWAYS take precautions when lifting heavy things. No more wrestling it by myself.

This bull frog has been at the pond for some time.

It's hard to appreciate the mass of this one but it's about twice the size as the first one.

He showed up last night.
This is the very first bloom that my lotus has put out since I planted it last year.

Oh, to have a place like that to sit and relax! I mean, I have a lake at the end of my pasture, and we do love to sit down there and watch the sunset, water and wildlife, but your pond… I would love to sit and watch it for a few hours. The bullfrogs look like good company and the flowers are beautiful!

I’m so happy for you that relief from your pain is in sight!
