We are firing up the smoker that DH got for his BDay.
A local Berkshire roast, just the right size for the 2 of us.
Now he can cook and relax after splitting some wood this morning. We have 3 days of beautiful weather and then rain and a low of 36F for the weekend. Time to get the thermies out!

Just got home and brewed some coffee. I'm on caffeine withdrawal. I have to limit fluid intake when traveling.

I can't make my mind up if the new pain support is helping or I'm still at the same spot. Sometimes I feel okay. Other times I'm near tears. Maybe just give more time.

Good afternoon Café!

Just had a nasty surprise when cleaning the poop boards: found a few poultry mites on the underside of the roosts and in the floor nest box.
So all my original plans for today will be suspended as I am busy ripping everything apart and out, blow torch treatment after pressure washing all the roosts, nest boxes etc.
Aaaaaaaargh, how I hate mites!!

I hope that you had decent weather for the mite war, LF!
Today is a MORF run for DH and I. I think he was feeling neglected with all of the chaos going on, so we will spend some quality time with him today.
The roast was delicious! I think DH is figuring out the smoker just fine.
