BYC Café

Possibly rain tomorrow. Good, I could use a day off from working outside. I have plenty of indoor projects to do, that's for sure. I'll have the Lions game on in the background.

Well, dang, they don't play until 8:20 pm and I'll probably be going to bed about then.

There's an Irish singer hubby and I both really like, Aoife Scott. (First name is pronounced, EE-fuh.) She sings a song titled, "Wondering Where the Lions Are." The refrain ends with

Wondering where the lions are,
Wondering where the lions are.

I really hope the second line can be,
Playing in the SuperBowl.

Good morning and thanks for the hot coffee!
It warmed up enough yesterday to cap the snow from the winds, so not much drifting.
DH and I and the Aunties all got our baby hugs!
I am sorry that you guys are so crispy up there. That is no fun and very stressful to be on smoke watch.
Enjoy the day, Cafe!

We got some rain overnight. Crept up over 60 today.
Got the coop shed door re-skinned before the wind picked to bring more sprinkles this afternoon.

Coop shed door, 'custom' sized, homemade of foam core skinned with chip board has held up very well for the 25 years I've been here. Couple years ago a woodpecker became enamored and drilled several holes thru the skin and 1-2" deep into the foam core. I had to quickly cover it with a few feed bags until it lost interest. Once winter came around I covered it more carefully with feed bag material. That finally broke down, sending tiny pieces of plastic all over, so I put fresh up today.

I want to whine it is raining again darnit enough.
The same over here, heavy rain last night, but still the humidity linger on. So sticky and hot. The heavy dark cloud still on so more rain is coming and my chicken runs will be a pond of mud. I am so not like this weather.
