Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready. Prepared with a Ninja drip coffee maker seeing as that seems to be the topic of the day...

When I went to TractorSC to get another bag of large flake pine shavings about 3 weeks ago, I used the gift card my sis gave me. She didn't write on the holder what the amount was for and she also gave me another card for the local Agways. Both cards had $100 each on them! I have been spoiling the crap out of the chickens with them. Another bag of shavings went it to make the coop even more luxurious. I bought a much nicer seed mix for scratch and a bag of dried mealworms to mix into it. Yesterday I bought a new jar of probiotics with electrolytes and a bag of PDZ. Yes, some things I would have purchased regardless of the GC.

I didn’t know that Ninja made a coffee maker. I have a blender and food processor from them I like.

Good morning and thanks for the hot coffee! The breezes are still a bit breezy and I need to take MORF to his 3rd radiation treatment.
We will do some shopping and get him set to hibernate as well over the long weekend.
Sweet Maria's coffee co has a nice pour over, fyi. That is where I get my "green" beans.

40+ out there, spoiling us before the deep freeze.
Was nice to head out with no coat to do a quick shoring of the fragile shed roof.

I've seen turkeys 3 times today. Scratching around my yard and in the woods behind the house.
I could count at least 24 birds.

They do travel in large groups.....see that around here regularly.


Not just cold but more snow, hopefully no more than the ~5" forecast.
I remember last year, maybe the year before, we had these temps with 16" of snow.

It sounds like we won't get much of the snow, being as far inland as we are. But we will get the cold.

We went to get groceries and also stopped at TSC. I got another bundle of shavings to put in the coop, and also some electrolytes. They'll get the shavings tomorrow and the electrolytes on Sunday.

I sat out there for a half hour today and told the girls that it was going to get really cold, so enjoy the sunshine today.
