BYC Café

Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

The first load of gravel is coming this morning. HTG and I will spread that out then I'm waiting until the weather dries a bit before getting the pea stone that will go down for the top layer.

I need to move my compost piles so I can clean the coop which I wanted to do before I locked Savannah onto the wet nest. I can't move the piles because I've ripped out the beds. So I'm just going to clean the maternity ward room and get her locked in until she grafts.

Good Morning Sunshine,🌞
Coffee is about to be made:)
The sun is out today and the sky is blue.
As reported, sunshine today might only be just for today, the rest of the coming week will be rain again. I take what I can get.
☀️🌻🌞😎🌻🌞

I want more chickens, I looked at so many of cuties chicks hatching competition yesterday on here that I have been thinking about getting more chickens.....more and more of :jumpy... NOT..definitely NOT🍗

Be careful, DL!
HTG did most of the hard work. The pea stone is waiting for the next time he has time to help spread it.

I cleaned the maternity ward room out today. Man does that coop get DUSTY over the course of a year. I simply must at least dust it three times a year. I cleaned out the nest boxes, vacuumed them, dusted them with poultry dust and put fresh straw in. Leaf blew and bottle brush scrubbed all the walls/surfaces in the maternity ward room three times then put 1/2 a bag of pine shavings in the ward, fresh soil/poultry dust/straw in the wet nest and I just moved Savannah in on lock up.

She stayed in the nest during most of the cleaning and wouldn't leave until I started stripping out the nest boxes. She had a fine coating of dust on her when I opened the nest box door.
