Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

I'm taking the girls to the Strawberry Festival this morning for a few hours while it's still cool and the number of people is lower.
Then I'm going to the COL for my friend that killed himself. I'm at the point of my grieving for him where I'm just mad at him for doing it. His family must be devastated.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee. @DobieLover given the circumstances, I think that anger is a normal part of the grieving process.

I left the Festival early (and got there early too). Piper somehow managed to slip her harness. Turd. She just kept walking as if she didn't realize she was suddenly free and came right back to me when I called her name. Even in that big excited crowd with food all over the ground. Speaks volumes to taking the time to train your dog to listen to you no matter what.

She and her sister were admired by many and I met many nice folks that wanted to pet them. One guy with a fat dachshund did NOT ask to see either of my girls, squatted down and kept trying to pull his dog over to Bella while reaching out for her. This is the first time I've seen Bella react negatively (although I don't blame her and did not correct her because I think she had ever right to complain). She barked LOUDLY at this man, in his face, and walked away.

Once home, I went out to clean the coop and check on the Fab 4. It is time for them to get out of the brooder. I am nervous about it because of the 10 nearly 8 week olds. One black one ran after the group but thought better of it and ran back out to the run. I have hung the baby bottle by the pop door and put several piles of crumble down the stairs to encourage them to explore the run. They need to learn where the food and water are. They keep tossing their food bowl and scratching their food into oblivion in the brooder. I so HATE raising babies. I wish they had a mother.

Finally rain here, not a drizzle a good wetting rain.
Busy day with many honey do's.

How are you everyone?
Here is my sky right now. Rainbow..so beautiful. We are having a few drops of rain, enough to create a rainbow.
The sun is trying to shine, a few drops of rain and the dark sky is promising more rain.
Having my first cup of tea this morning.
@DobieLover , I would love to babysit your baby chicks. I love caring for mother hen and her chicks, they are so cute. Send them right over to me.
