We are very discouraged with our bee hives right now. One of them swarmed today. Not likely I can lure it back.

But as I told hubby, we are not in the hospital after our car accident, and neither of us died yesterday.

This too shall pass.

Good Morning

Having a tall jumble cup of hot tea now.

It is 5:45am Friday morning over here and temperature inside the house now is 15C=59F. Last night it was 6C=43F.
I got my 4 bantam inside the garage. My Japanese bantam have a hard time with the cold, so small and so little feather.

I have a broody hen in winter! She is laying 4 eggs a week and whenever she goes broody her comb till over and turn a bit grey, that is so not healthy. I have started to break her broodiness yesterday - let her out in the garden all by herself no nest box close by.

Yesterday I discover a poultry market that is 1.5 hours drive from my place. It is on the last Saturday of each month. Oh Joy, oh joy! I have been having chickens for 7+ years and only now that I learned of this poultry heaven! Doctor appointment this Saturday so I have to wait to July.

Poultry market...... the kind that capture my heart very high risk that I end up with load of fluffy butts. My mom is the worse, she gets all excited seeing baby chicks.

I hope you get the rain you all waiting for and the bees move back into their hive.

Good idea! Both mom and I together at poultry market is very bad..we both will drive each other chicken fever to maximum scale.
I will not tell mom I go.

Thank you! I have not thought of that, too excited about the market and no thinking.

Since last year we have been hearing on the news that some poultry farmers had to cull all their flock due to bird flu. It is not nation wide, but here and there and was contained in some areas, but then it pops up somewhere else. There is other diseases more than bird flu.
