Marshmallow Fields from this morning.
I haven't just sat out and relaxed in the run with my peeps for a very long time.
Below we see my crowing girl, Annie, perched on the broody breaker.
One of the Fab 4 desperately looking at another band member grazing on the other side of the run wall.
Savannah having a dust bath in the right corner of the coop. Why they thought that was a great spot to dig a hole I'll never know.
You can just make out the other 2 band members against the coop wall near the breaker and their arch nemesis, the white cockerel from Savannah's brood, near the pop door. He gets such a charge out of chasing them around.
Here he is in an earlier picture.
And later sun bathing while his sisters talk about him on the perch.
I appear to have 2 ermine pullets, 2 ermine cockerels, the white boy, 3 black cockerels and 2 black pullets from Savannah's hatch.
Out of the Fab 4, I appear to have three pullets and one cockerel.
I may or may not keep the white boy. I'm picking up more ermine eggs tomorrow in New Jersey to slip under Astrid. She's been waiting for 2 days for hatching eggs. She locked on to the wet nest almost immediately. If I get a white male out of Astrid's hatch, I'll likely keep him instead of the white boy.
