Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

We had a short but strong thunderstorm last night. Bella was beside herself. You'd think with age and many experiences with thunderstorms she'd have figured out by now they don't hurt her. They are just loud.

Poor Bella! Both of our Dobermans hated thunderstorms. Both would find Daddy (hubby) and lean against him. Raven would put her head on his lap.

The clock repairman is coming today to fix Grandpa. The movement needed to be replaced. He could have fixed it, but it wouldn't have been on his bench until February. Buying a new one was about the same price. $1100-1200. I thought, well, everything is more expensive now. Then I saw all the gears and fiddly bits... yeah, that's a reasonable price, to me.

There was never a question as to whether we'd fix it. Hubby's dad made this clock from a kit and finished it on election day, 1976.

We've looked at that corner where the case stands 20-30 times a day. I miss the chiming too.

The clock company, Howard Miller, is or recently has, gone out of business. I asked this guy what he thought of that. He said he's surprised they held on this long. The younger generations just don't want those kinds of things.

But the older generations want to keep their clocks running, so this guy is very busy.

Rainy and cool here. We had a neighborhood picnic yesterday and the weather cooperated perfectly by holding off on the rain until 3PM.
I am grandkid sitting today so I guess I had better get moving.

All of our goldens got more storm reactive as they got older.

Good morning Cafe turned off the air in the office as we call it.
67 it had hit already.
Rarely see thunder storms every now a person makes something go boom.
Dogs will not boof at that.

Good Morning,

Having nice instant coffee now, today weather will be sunshine 28C=82F, of course with August Wind. This is the perfect weather.

Tiny rooster has rattling chest sound again, Mom refused to let me have him back, he jumps on her dinning table, eats like pig, gained weight, crow with many different sounds, but back with this rattling sound....I am freezing time to workout what to do next.

I believe the hen I got over a year ago from a chicken rescue place is a green sheen black Wyandotte, she looks every part like my 2 Wyandottes except for the beautiful black green sheen colour feather. They told me she is a layer, don't know the breed and she was with tatted feather. She mottled this year and I tried to work out who she really is. I google yesterday there is such a colour in Wyandotte. I love it. She lays 3 cream colour eggs a week, just like my 2 Wyandottee.
