Good afternoon Café!

After quite a chilly night and morning we are enjoying a wonderful late summer/early fall day with mild sunshine, ideal to get some much needed wirk done in the coops and garden.

Much earlier than usual the apples have started to "jump their trees" keeping me busy harvesting and cooking applesauce and baking all kinds of apple pies.
In fact, I really could do with another pair or two of arms and hands just like the Indian goddess!

Good Morning,

Coffee is ready. Spring is really here..warm during the day and still a bit cold at night. Just the horrible August wind still linger on.

My floor is dusty, so much wind and it carried dust. I clean my floor and then the next day is just back to cover in dust again. I can not close the windows all the times.

Tiny rooster is back home now. He is well & strong, except here and there that rattling breathing sound when I pick him up. Might be the constant wind is causing this rattling sound. He is so tiny, but he can run so fast, he jumps over pots, into and out of my garden bed like superman, it is very hard to catch him. How can he still be sick? ...anyway, I just take it day by day. A life that is so vibrant, active, and so exciting....it is not possible for me to let him goes.

I did some yardwork for a friend of mine (she pays me). She's getting ready to go the Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands in a month, for a month. She likes to travel and has been to lots of interesting places.

Hubby would like to go to Scotland, Ireland, Greenland, and maybe some other lands too. Me, I just want to stay home. Sleep in my own bed, take care of the chickens. I told him after we get the wrap around porch (next year? ) we can start saving money for him to go on a trip. I'm fine with him going and me staying.

.... maybe.... I don't really enjoy traveling. If they could just "beam" me there, I'd like it better. I like day trips, but not extended road trips.

(get up out of bed, feed the dog, take care of the chickens, hubby gets up and makes breakfast) "What do you want to do today, Sally?"
"Oh, lets just beam over and see the white cliffs of Dover. Then back in time for dinner. How's that sound?"
"Ok. Then next week, I want to go to Greenland for the afternoon."
