BYC Café

Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

A junco built a nest in my spring/summer wreath 3 years ago and I never removed it. A house wren found it this summer and sometimes sleeps in it overnight. When C comes home late and enters through the front door instead of the back door, the wren will blast out of the nest and fly off. Some mornings I hear it on my porch rail singing away. It's out there now.

Good morning, Cafe', and thanks for the coffee.

House finches nest in the fern baskets on the front porch. Upon occasion in the evening one will spook and fly into the house when we get home late. Tends to freak the Princess with memories of the 'attack' of Chippie.

Good Morning,

Hot cup of coffee...let me know if you would like one too..also I drink instant coffee so I hope you dont mind that.

It is spring over here and recently many cockatoos perch on my tall palm tree and scream their head off which scared my chickens and caused havoc with my tiny rooster, he screams and very restless.

This morning a little mouse is caught in the mouse trap, I look at it and it looks back at me with those big cutie round eyes, it looks cute....I have to check again if it is actually a mouse and not some other marsupial animals, we got many of those around.

Have a wonderful day all.

I took the girls to the vet for their annual check up. Both had Lyme vax and Bella had a blood draw. Everything was good with her blood numbers and her heart sounded strong and clear.

I treated myself to a double dip Bourbon Caramel Pecan ice cream on the way home then stopped at an antique mall. I brought Piper in with me and she had the time of her life sniffing all those old things and sucking up to everyone who ad to stop to say how cute she was.

Then we stopped at the dog park in Owego. I've never been there when it wasn't muddy. It was dry and green so I took them in. Piper was nervous and got mobbed by 3 overly excited big dogs so I squatted down to help her and tried to get the other dogs to leave her alone and calm down. No go so I picked her up and called Bella in to play with them. Piper had to get "rescued" twice but still enjoyed sniffing around. Bella started fence racing and after 5 or so minutes of that Tom foolery, started to limp so I called it a day.

They are both now napping in their chosen spots and I am thoroughly enjoying the peace!
