Letchworth is called the Grand Canyon of the East.

Her history is very interesting. The history of Letchworth is as well.
So the Grand Canyon is a large area...I only saw it on tv on a few documentaries.

I read Mary Jemison's story yesterday and her life story is very interesting and I can not imagine what her 12 years old be thinking. As I was reading it, my mind not only imagine what Mary Jemison's life was like, but also the few movies I saw "The Unforgiven" with Audrey Hepburn.

I google Letchworth and it took me to England, I thought that is not right....:lau, need to type in also Letchworth America.
The Internet, technology! I traveled all the way to England and back to America from Australia just the touch of my fine 10 fingers:lau

Good Morning ☀️

Coffee is being served and the sun is out bright and shine.

I put 3 of my fruits plants into bigger pots and I am very happy with that. The sun is rising before 5am now and so I must rise with it because once my chickens see light, they start to push each other and banging on the coop doors to get out.

Very late last night one of my hens Minty was pushing her way at the coop door trying to get out, so much noises that we can hear her and I let her out she run straight into my garage...I have no idea what up with her, so I let her sleep in the dog carrier box in the garage and she instantly settled down. No egg was lay and she did not want to get out this morning. Strange thing!

Enjoy your lovely nature walk DL. Many moons ago we used to do lot of bush walk as we call it over here, it was so nice, we walked into the deep dense bush land trails. My knees can not do that anymore.

Have a wonderful day🌻

Today was a beautiful day. I should have spent the afternoon in the garden, but as we were out of milk, needs must I go to the store. I've spent too much the last two gorgeous days in the car.

Tomorrow, I'll spend time in the garden. Rainy (YAY!!!) on the weekend, then nice, but cool on Monday. After all this rain we ARE going to get, it'll be easy peasy to pull weeds.

Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

We'll be heading out in about 4 hours. The farm tour was interesting. They host the SUNY Geneseo Equestrian Team and provide the horses. They've also hosted fox hunts. But they are exclusively English and I had absolutely no interest in doing any ring work and there were no trail rides going out because they were getting ready for a hunter jumper show that will be today with about 200 people here. I'm glad I'm leaving today!

@DobieLover, I have a building question for you.

There's a modular house that we drive by that is jacked up on what look like pallets, but probably aren't. It looks like they're digging out a basement under it. The house right now is above grade.

Wouldn't spring would be a better time for this kind of project?

We haven't had frost yet, but it'll happen any day now, as our first frost is usually mid September. I haven't gone up to the house to look down in the hole, but I don't think anything has been poured yet. In fact, it looks the same as it did last week and the week before.

Could there be another reason the house is jacked up and they're digging out the ground underneath it?

Without looking down that hole I have no idea! Maybe they're just getting the forms put in to put in a footer under the modular home. You can still pour concrete in cold weather. You have to use a special cold weather concrete mix with accelerators in it and you have to use heaters to keep the site above freezing until it reaches a compression strength of at least 500 PSI. They just wouldn't be able to lower the house down onto it until it cured enough to handle the load. How long is the modular been sitting there?

Several weeks. I have been taking a different route to town to avoid a somewhat blind curve/intersection until they cut the corn on that corner. Hubby told me about it 3? 4? weeks ago.

Actually, it doesn't look like anything has happened in over a week. I see the bobcat sitting in the same place, and the piles of dirt haven't moved. Maybe I can get a picture of it.

There's a smallish camper there; I wonder if that's what they're staying in? I sure wouldn't want to spend a winter in it. :hmm

Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

Bella had started to really struggle with incontinence. Both bowel and bladder. We stopped at the vet in the way home for Incurin (estriol) at 1mg daily. Could go up to 2 daily. I've always had success with phenylpropanol amine (PPA) known as Proin with my first 3 girls. They all started dribbling within a year of being spayed. It's been 6 years since Bella was spayed and she's only just now starting.

Then there's the bowel incontinence. There's really no treatment for that. So I just take her out as often as I can and ask her to go potty. She can literally be walking along and a turd just falls out of her.

I can't help but to think that all this might be related to the Cesareans she's had somehow affecting the muscles. Although they were cut in a very different location of her body. But she was also not able to give natural birth. So structurally, maybe something's wrong back there.
