My maiden voyage skiing went pretty well considering I haven't done it in about 17 year! I fell going down a small hill and when I got going again I noticed my right boot felt loose. When I stopped to tighten it, I saw that 2 eyelets broke. Bummer. I'll start looking for replacement boots or a way to install new eyelets.

Good morning Cafè and Merry Christmas . Coffee is ready.

I'll be heading over to my sister's for Christmas breakfast. I'm bringing fruit. I just finished cutting up strawberries, a cantaloupe and a pineapple to go with blue, black and raspberries.

It's going to take me 5 trips to load my car with the fruit and all the gifts.

We are in for a winter storm starting tomorrow afternoon and it's expected to dump 5-10". Who really knows. So I'll run the dogs at the Glen again today to get a long and fun hike for them.

We are in for a winter storm starting tomorrow afternoon and it's expected to dump 5-10". Who really knows.

I think we're getting part of that, but it'll be freezing rain. Whether it's rain or freezing rain, and how much could vary a bit. If it would just push a little farther north, we could go out (safely) to breakfast with out of town friends. It was already changed from Wednesday to tomorrow, due to one of them getting over the flu and not wanting to spread it.

If it doesn't happen tomorrow, I don't think we'll get to see them on this trip. They have a tight travel schedule and family to see in Ohio before they go back to Chicago.

Back from our hour long hike.

Piper is passed out and Bella is sucking on her wubby.
I'm heading back to sister's for an early dinner at 3.

The Lions are losing. The season is a bust. Oh well. I'll be glad when the season is over.

Some sunshine here, and I got a 2 mile walk in, and enjoyed the few rays that made it through the clouds. Tomorrow we're getting freezing rain (meteorologists are quite sure about this) and we will have to miss seeing out of town friends.
