Good morning and thanks for the hot coffee!
Today is our last nice day for a few. They are saying up to 10 inches of snow. DH and I are heading over to MORF's ranch to do some more tree work. There is a tree with a few tops down across the roof of an old "historic" 1800 something Saloon? Bordetella? Stage stop?
Probably all of the above at some point in time.
Grapple hook and rope as I am NOT climbing out on the middle of that roof.

I felt like I hadn't seen you around as much lately. Hope all is well.

Good Morning,

Kettle retired...I am boiling water on a cook pan and feeling sleepy at the same time. Weather is warm over here.

I am emotionally tired with sick chickens, what to do ..what to do...nothing much can be done, supporting care until it gets to that time...as long as she is eating/still interested in digging out bugs until she is not. There is a physical work that I can recover from, but the emotional toll of watching her going up/down, more up than down at time is .....When she is chasing a butterfly...that is all that matter!

My manager asked me again to go full time. I only have 32 months left until I retire and I currently spend entirely too much time doing nothing. If I agree, there will be conditions.

It did snow a bit, an inch or so. More to fall today but not what they were saying.
We did not get the tree from the roof. I think MORF is a little freaked out by it and needs more time to ponder. I did clean up a whole other tree in the horse paddock and multiple other big limbs that fell on fences and such. It is going to take some time...

Retirement...more times doing the things you love/put off before...Any plan what you want to do when you retired?

I am retired and the day go by so fast, I am forever so it seems revolving around chickens, house work, doing stuff for my mom and at time I am worried that I wasted whatever time I got, then I think of rubbish like .....when I get to the stage where I might need to go to the nursing home...which I will do my mighty best not to go, then the thought of needing to fill out that form for Switzerland. I learned that they take a whole year to response.

All in all I enjoy my retirement, but there are times not so positive thought creeping in.

Oh the day is going to be so very hot today. Got new kettle yesterday and spend most of yesterday inside the house. I need a break from sick chicken. I was emotionally tatted about it. I was good by the afternoon and back to whatever needed again.

Projects around the house.
Travel more.
Focus more on my health.
I'll probably be on or near Dobie #7 which will be a puppy this time. First time for a Dobie puppy after I made it through raising Piper without completely screwing her up!
