BYC Café

Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

We had a bit of ice on the elevated roads here yesterday. I discovered that when I went for a couple of quarts of raw honey from the Ukraine couple I buy from yesterday after I left work. I was out of honey so the trip was entirely necessary.

@DobieLover, thank you for supporting a beekeeper. Honey is one of the most adulterated/inaccurately labeled foods on the market.

I'm sure I've said this before, but it bears repeating: Honey can be up to 10% something else and still legally labeled "100% pure honey."
:duc:mad:

Beekeepers are rightly proud of their product. I would bet that if any one keeper were selling adulterated honey, word would get around fast and they'd be out of business.

Good Morning,
Coffee and croissants are ready, you could add a bit of honey/almond butter to the croissant. Many moon ago, there were people selling honey in front of their home with a honesty box, sadly they disappear such practice now. We used to drive to the hinterland on the inside road and these sort of home grown food were available then.

@Sally PB that is very sad 10% of real honey label as 100%. :barnie
Does the texture tell whether it is pure honey or not?
Awhile back, I got this 1kg jar of honey, it is almost finish now, it has thick liquid like and brown in colour.

This I got from a honey producer in my state which is about 1 hour drive from me. It says 100% Pure Australian Honey.
