Hi Karan!
Wow! 2AM!? We have our timer for 4:30 AM. So far we are getting 18 eggs on average a day. I usually get the first shift dozen by 8AM. We have 23 chickens and so there are a couple of someones not laying. I am pretty sure I know who 3 of them are, but not sure about the other 2. And one of them gives me an itty bitty egg every once in awhile.

I plan on building a "Retired Hen Suite" so I can get a little more of an idea on who my layers are.
Since we got these birds close to the end of their season anyway, the fact that they are laying that many eggs is still pretty incredible to me.

The produce is not on the cart any more, so I think that will be slowing my egg sales. I will most likely have to go to more days a week or something. *shrug* I will just have to play it by ear...

Well, that's the news from the "in house" egg cart so far.

Hi all, it has been busy around here. I went to the music feast that was advertised to have men in kilts, they lied, just one man in a kilt, but good music. I got 5 more babies yesterday, one has 10 toes. I have been escorting Fancy around some more, I think I am going to make some cards for Fancy so others can visit the mascot thread and see all the mascots travels, a lot of people have been asking for the website. Fancy has made herself a scarf, and is working on some leggings. I still have 2 more squares to go, and then tuck in all the ends, and I will be done. I am working on uploading the pics for the mascot thread, and then start one dedicated to my babies so everyone can watch them grow with us, the frizzles are starting to get some feathers in now, so adorable.

So here goes a general, hope everyone is doing okay, has great egg sales, and can find a lot of yarn on sale.

Maw, hope you can get something done about that dentist. My Dad went to a really bad dentist once, so he pays for me and my girls to go see his dentist every 6 months. He is a very good dentist and he will not use silver anymore because of the potential health hazards and the porcelain fillings you can't even see, if anyone needs fillings, check and see if the porcelain ones would be covered by the insurance. If that first dentist really did specialize in pediatric, then they would have showed the girls the "proper" way to brush and sent ya'll home with disclosing tablets so the girls could see where they are not brushing well. Act has a pretty good florid rinse for kids that isn't too nasty. That dentist was lucky your girls are not like mine, my girls bite and I have bit a few dentist over the years

That dentist was just a jerk, if anything he was the abusive one, prying open their little mouths without asking them to open their mouths, then yelling at you???? I hope you can get the state to go after this guy for fraud.
I hate it when a horrible dentist gets a hold of little kids,

that is why so many people are terrified of the dentist. Now that I know what a good dentist is like, I don't dread going every 6 months. I think uncaring dentists should be used as practice dummies for people who think they want to become dentists and dental hygienist

It is hard to find a good dentist, there are sooooo many bad ones out there

Guess what gals?! My feathered ladies are behaving very nicely! 21 EGGS!!!! that means only 2 of my 23 aren't laying and I am pretty sure which 2...(my first Retired Hens Suite residents)

Man, 21 eggs. I am sure they won't be consistent, but holy cow...

The bad news is that I have only sold one dozen eggs so far and that was yesterday.

Now I wish I could let them out so they would eat all the lady bugs off my house... I don't want to catch all of them myself!

sorry about the dentist maw I kicked my first dentist, he threatened to hurt me so I kicked him. I was 6.My mother came in asked why he was screaming at me. I told her and she then went out to the full waiting room and told everyone there that he threatened me.
DH bit his dentist.
Athena, did I read right. Your originally from Ma?Is there anything you miss from here I can send you?

I didn't ever have a horror story in the dentists office..BUT,
while I was stationed in Hawaii, I took all 4 of my children to a dentist recommended to me by several members of our school PTA...

It was a local dentist, right out the front gate. They ravved about it... convenient, and so, I made appointments.

Well... 4 cleanings, 2 hygienists to take 2 kids right in a row...

Got to the dentist's office.. and went to the counter... had a boatful of paperwork to fill out.... TIMES 4.....

Well, I sat down and started filing out paperwork, and watching kids... noticing for the first time, how dungy this place was....

and I am a clean freak...esp in any dr's office.

I saw that walls had smeared stuff on it, right under the clerk's counter, under the ledge, there was all kids of crap on the wall.. like kids slobbering waiting in line, as their mom's talked to the clerk.. Then I noticed that stuff under chairs hadn't been cleaned in forever, that the cleaning crew never moved anything to get to some spots... and I'm thinking to myself.... ok,....

If the waiting room looks like this...................... what does the exam room look like, the tools they use.... do I want to find out??.. with my kids???..

So, I gathered up the kids..... told the clerk, thanks but no thanks.... and proceeded to walk out the door.

The hygienist who was waiting for me to fill out paperwork, came into the waiting room, and said, hey, your gonna have to pay for the missed appointments..

I said, really??.... and would you like this place to be permanently blacklisted by the commander?? Because all I have to do is explain how filthy and unsanitary this place is.. I said, just look, and I pointed out all that I had described above and then some.... Her mouth gapped open, and... I ushered me and the kids out of there.

Soon thereafter, I found a gem of a dentist... Had to drive abit, but that was ok!

If I were you... I would do something... like letter to the editor, BBB, call ins reps and report them.

ALL kids eat candy... ALL adults eat candy... to some degree... and for anyone to call that abusive???.. Oh hell NO!!!

I have always limited my children on sweets.. be it cereal, candy, chocolate, etc... and my daughters do as well with their children.... But... let me tell ya, as a grandmother... I just love being the nice one, and sneaking them to the candy store and letting them have treats!! Thats what grammies are supposed to do.. and I do it well!!!

and besides, I don't do well when anyone insults my integrity!

Myself I don't use Photobucket I just browse from the file on my computer that is stored under my pictures I do how ever have to use a photo editing program to crop them 1st before I can submit the here on BYC . It seems a bit less hassle.

I need to head for the shower and do some housework this mroning..I am posting pics later to show ya'll my canned apple butter, my pear preserves and the squares I have sewn together for the lionbrand crochet-a-long..just so you know I don't eat bon-bons when I'm home and paint my nails all day, lol!!!

its a beautiful day today and i have a TON of cleaning to do..and where am I? LOL on BYC of course!!!
wish i could get the teens to clean! LOL ha ha
well off to clean coops,kennels,and bunny cages,then laundry,cleanin house...maybe i'll have a lil time for me somewhere...just maybe..!!
