Well darlene count me in on the hookers sisterhook of secret santas! LOL! I have decided that atfer I finish this latest round on the window ghan to take a break on it so I will work on it spraticly the rest of the year and wait for the bad snows to hit to finish it up. There's just to many cool projects calling to me in my sleep,so I have to anwser the phone! Well its crunch time for the chickenstock just two more weeks I so wish I could have had a mascot to share the fun with, but hey maybe next year. I have painted, crochet, walked, and crafted my self in to a corner and totally took over dhs hunting room for all my crafting.
welll I want to tell you more about the yarn find on saturday, I ended up buying 2 old time apple bushel baskets to put some of the rerolled balls in and they look so awesome seting aroung the house. and then I filled a old time picnic basket full too!, I am going to have to keep my eye out for some more on the auctions, to find me an old cedar chest to put it all in and make it smell great., but yes I am an official yarn horder, and have been since Scramble started this thing. I go out yard selling everyweekend with either mom or MIL and that and chicken anything stuff are the two things I keep my eyes peeled for and this year alone I have filled 2 extra larger storage tubs full of yard sale yarn finds. and then saterdays find filled that up and more. LOL. I am going to have to start stuffing the pillowcases full of yarn just to have somewhere to put it all. LOL. I should dress one on my serama hens up as a yarn ball for the costume chicken contest at the stock, That would be too funny! well I also ended up with so really old crochet pattern books and new papers one is from 1917 to 1971 they are soooooo neat to look through. if any one would like copie from them let me know just reading throught some of them and seeing what the fashions and styles and PRICES were back then is really neat.
SE I like that border on the lion ghan.
ris- I hear ya there on the chicken tractor thats mainly what we have but for my chickens I have a larger coop for the winter months, but durning the rest of the year half is free range for everyone and the other is tractors.
well ladies I am getting sleepy so I will go and see if I can sleep all night tonight, if not I will post ya around 2am. take care gals Maw.

No Chickens - a chicken tractor is kinda like a small moveable playpen area (with wheels sometime) for chickens so thay can safely graze in the grass.

SE that afghan is beautiful

Hey count me in on the Hookers Sisterhood Secret Santa, I will try to squeeze that in with Zoe's afghan and pillow, and the other afghan I am working on. I will finish Zoe's 1st.

DH & FIL had been working hard all weekend on the storage area for the greenhouse. It's 10x14 they got the floor done the walls up, rafters up and the roof on and more than half the walls covered in metal. They really busted butt this weekend I am very proud of them I will post of couple of photos later to show their great work.

Well I have the day off

Holiday so the court house is closed. So I am going to try to finish my planting and get some stuff ready to mail out soon.

well sounds like everyone is moving right along this morning! well I have some good news I can see pictures on my puter but only if I loggin under my Dads windows account, sounds strange huh! oh well his is the only one thought that will bring up the internet pics, moms and mine won't strange but from now on I will probley just start using his. well I am going to try one more time to change me avater and get a few more things done today on the stock stuff and get some christmas presents made or started aleast. move the henny pens to the fence line and do a ton of laundry. so I will try to catch ya'll throughout the day have a great one. I have 2 big ol storage totes full of yarn. I had about 4 but gave my aunt a bunch and to think I was hording yarn

you got me beat Maw! Cute way to store the yarn. I know what you mean about the old craft magazines. I was in a workbasket group, had a bunch of the old workbaskt magazines. They are very interesting to look at. When we moved to this apartment, I got rid of most of them.

You know Se, you could also do Christmas in July type of thing fr the secret Santa.

Well I had to take a little break from cleaning, so I thought I'd check in. Teenage DD is home from school, so she is helping.

Yuck.....I hate to clean...any excuse for a break!!!!!

No chicks ~ I think Maw has all of us beat w/ the yarn stash. I don't know....SE maybe in second.

I have a med tote w/mine in it, but it's busting at the seems. The top will hardly close. I have about 3 very large zip bags w/ projects in it, my canvas bag w/ current stuff I'm working on and a crochet basket that use to belong to dh's grandma. I need a bigger tote, so it can all go in one place. LOL!!!!!!

Oh yea, we have air predators that will snatch our precious babies up if they free range 24/7, but I try to let mine out every afternoon to free range before they go to bed. I was ready to just let them free range all day and coop up at night when the local owl swooped across the yard eye balling them all and I changed my mind again.

Do ya'll remember me looking for a sailboat granny square pattern. I didn't find one, but found this pattern. It's easier than it looks. It's just rows of sc or dc. I think the tedious part will be the cross stitch part for the sailboats.

Here's a pic of it. Well...... a pic out of the pattern book. I started it on Thur. and have the first part done before the whole pattern repeats itself.

Hey there, ladies! DH and I had a great weekend away! Biltmore is awesome! It's been years since I'd been, but DH and never been. We really had a great time together. I only got 4 squares done, but I've been working today and now I'm up to 22 or 23. Almost done!

I know what ya'll mean about yarn stashes! The whole corner of my closet(from floor to clothes rod), 1 drawer in the chest in my room, & 2 drawers in my pantry (old mobile home 3 drawer chest) are stuffed FULL of yarn! Shhhhhh! Don't tell DH! He knows I've got a bunch, but not quite how MUCH I do have! LOL I've got to rearrange it and get it all in one place. Once I do, I'll take some pics. He doesn't know it yet, but I'm going to Hobbly Lobby on Wednesday after my annual GYN app.

OK - I'm off to get some supper going. I'll try to check back in later!

Well, DD & I have been cleaning. She put some cd's on to help us get the work groove going. We've recorded reruns of Gilmore Girls from the family ABC channel, so we can watch them later.

Whew!!!!! With 3 inside kitties and 3 dogs that are in and out all day I think I could crochet a big afghan with all the fur I found in all the corners.

Didn't some lady do that????

OK, back to cleaning.

I have no idea what I'm going to make for dinner.
