hahahaha
Ours did the cold thing back in the summer when we had really good rain. 4 days straight, its kinda expected.

Every time I start getting the sore throat/earache thing, I always gargle with either that nasty brown er sorry, original flavor listerine, and switch off with warm salt water..... gargle and rinse.
Since the ears, nose and throat are all connected around the same area, the gargle part is good . That and I always have that itchy throat where it feels like ya swallowed a hair that wont go away. (doesn't help I have long hair, and everyone finds it everywhere)
Jim's son Bryan found one of my hairs wrapped around his toe in the sock. hmmm lol

OH and those danactive yogurt smoothie drinks. I get the strawberry- pomegrante berry flavors...and they are so small, that if ya dun like smoothies, it's gone within three swallows.

Scoot,

SO glad to hear about your DH!! It must mean something, that they released him from the hospital.. more than they needed the bed space, I pray!!

Continued prayers for his recovery and for you and the family to help you deal w/ it all 'til life is back to normal!

HUGS from the East coast!

Erin

Scoot so glad your hubby came home,

I just got back from visiting DD at the hospital she's at the hospital she had the baby at and the baby is at the women and Infants.
Her insurance (evil SOB's ) won't pay to have her transferred to the women and infants told her is wasn't medically necessary for the mom to be with the baby.
I don't know how she's going to breastfeed at this rate. She breastfed Sophie for 14mths. She's heartbroken. I feel so bad for her.
They won't release her from the hospital till Sunday. And they told her he's not eating well.
I hate insurance companies!

OMG just reading that sent my blood pressure skyrocketing. I think you should fight that with the hospital. I think that with the whole breastfeeding being advocated they need to transfer her for free!!! And if they won't do that, they darn well better let her pump so she can send pumped breastmilk to him. grrrrr!

Purr, if you need something to help get her transferred, let us know...I am sure this powerful group of ladies can figure out a way to help.

Purr, I'm convinced that insurance companies hire satan's helpers as their customer service reps. What a-holes!!
Could your daughter pump her milk until she is released? At least that way she can provide her own milk for Garrett until she can get there to give it to him directly. It's not the best way to get started, but it's a thought.

Afternoon everyone~

I'm late today, I know. Got 2 sick kiddos and I'm getting down, too. ugh. My 2nd grader refuses to stay home, even though she's not feeling great lol. Mind you, i homeschooled her for 1 year and she hated it...so now, I can't get her to stay home for nothing.

I'm just sluggish today...ugh.

Did post some tree skirts on BSOT thread, if anyone would like to look. My teen-aged niece made them for extra spending money for Christmas, so trying to help her sell some.

Working on some hooked hats for some ornaments we are making for our tree....easy peasy, no brainer, thank goodness.

I'll talk to y'all this evening!!!

Have a great rest of the day!

Hi all!!

,
Stopping by to let you know I am still here. We had to move in with our daughter for a couple weeks & she doesn't have internet.

I talked her into letting me keep the truck today so I could go to the library & get on to the internet there, having withdrawls!

We move into the new apartment on the 11th, so I will have internet again. The hold up on the new apartment was a broken sewer line and the main line goes right under our apartment. So they had to take up the kitchen & bathroom floor.

Better now than after we were in, I guess.

Karanleaf, don't worry about being slow. I have crocheted for about 20 years & I am none to fast!
