Holy Squares Batman!

They are all so beautiful! I got mine today, in case you haven't guessed. I am so excited. Thank you all! The chick is adorable and the stitch counter is something I *really* need. thank you thank you thank you!!!

Mommahen, I got the pattern today too! Thank you! I think I might choose a few squares and make the chicken too. I might even have a whole flock.

Skand, good hunting! Glad the roo survived. I have had a dog hanging around our coop/run doors. He can't get in, but I would like to know where he's coming from. hope you all get some rest.

Chicksrule, glad all are ok from the 4 wheeler mishap!

Well, gals, I am getting prepared to be snowed in again. *sigh* I would like it more if it was movies, popcorn, books, hooks, yarn and chocolate that I could get snowed in with, but I have house cleaning. We are getting freezing rain right now and 12 inches of snow headed our way to cover that lovely layer up. We already have gotten about 10 inches this winter. woo hoo!

I think I will ask DH to bring home that popcorn...

Hi ladies, Not much new here. Finished 12 more squares for another pair of slippers. Now I guess I should sew a few pairs together!

Hey Skand, I'll go to Wallyworld, we have them in Jersey too ya know! They're even building one of those Super Walmarts about 15 miles away!

Glad Garret and mom are home and Scoot's DH is doing better! Risu, glad you got your pattern, I haven't tried it yet. Maybe after Christmas.

Maw ~ I got my squares today!!!! They are all so beautiful! And I love the little chick, the stitch counter, and the little leaf cut outs! It was such a nice surprise!!

I've not dong much at all today, except to check on my new little chicks! Oh! My 10th egg finally hatched!! He's the tiniest little thing! I've gotten a few pics, but I'll have to wait till DH gets home to take a few more. I'll get them uploaded and posted either tonight or tomorrow. I can't wait to show you! They're so cute! I'm ready for another broody! LOL I want more baby chicks already!!

The girls are in the kitchen washing up some dishes. We've got to bake a pie and some biscuits this evening for their 4-H baking contest. Entries are due tomorrow.

Well, back to getting a bit more done around the house! Have a great evening!!

I went through all my squares, was gonna wait til Hannah got home, but I could't. I will sort through them again and again I am sure. And anyway, it brought to my attention that we need another search party! Karan? Up for it? I'll send a wagon to help out...

Chicngurl, Green and Natapple (how're you ladies doing?), Alpacachick, Leepsy, Wegotchickens (saw you recently, but how're things? gorgeous colors on the square), Betsy, greentree (saw you peek in recently too, how're things?)...are all ladies I don't remember hearing from too recently... Hope you are all doing well and your squares are simply delicious! (really, not just being facetious... they all look good enough to eat, that goes for everyone's...) And Perched and other newbies! Don't be strangers! We are chatty, but we don't want to scare you off....

OMG!!!!! I got my squares tonight!!!!! I LOVE them!!!!! And the little chicken critter is precious!!!! Maw made me a chicken spider, lol!!!!! She put legs under a chicken bead, cracks me up!!!! I put it on my soup tureen shelf, I love it!!! Thank you all sooooooooo much for the great looking squares!!! Wow!!!! I'm gonna save them till spring but I am thrilled with them!!!!

Sign-Ups are now Open!

Theme: "Anything Goes" Feel free to experiment and challenge your skills for this swap! Hexagons, Circles, Squares, Triangles, or "Other" crocheted shapes are all welcomed!! (No amigurumi in this swap.)

Color: Any! Mix it up or stay the same, up to you!

Size: 6" minimum - 12" maximum. Try to be consistent though, for example, all of your squares should be pretty near the same size, all of your circles should be pretty near the same size....

Pattern: Any! Feel free to mix up your patterns and make every square different or every hexagon different, or all the same, up to you!

Number: As many as there are participants in the swap.

Dates: Chat and gab and get to know one another in this thread. Post as often as you like! Official sign-up opens on February 1, 2009 and Closes on March 1, 2009. All items are due to me no later than May 1, 2009.

New folks are encouraged to visit with us here in this thread and post and get to know us! Chickens are not required, in fact several members of this group are not chicken owners! We are always happy to have new friends here in the crochet club! We'd love to have you join the fun, join the swap or any other projects that we have going on!!!!
