Theme: "Anything Goes" Feel free to experiment and challenge your skills for this swap! Hexagons, Circles, Squares, Triangles, or "Other" crocheted shapes are all welcomed!! (No amigurumi in this swap.)

Color: Any! Mix it up or stay the same, up to you!

Size: 6" minimum - 12" maximum. Try to be consistent though, for example, all of your squares should be pretty near the same size, all of your circles should be pretty near the same size....

Pattern: Any! Feel free to mix up your patterns and make every square different or every hexagon different, or all the same, up to you!

Number: As many as there are participants in the swap.

Dates: Chat and gab and get to know one another in this thread. Post as often as you like! Official sign-up opens on February 1, 2009 and Closes on March 1, 2009. All items are due to me no later than May 1, 2009.

New folks are encouraged to visit with us here in this thread and post and get to know us! Chickens are not required, in fact several members of this group are not chicken owners! We are always happy to have new friends here in the crochet club! We'd love to have you join the fun, join the swap or any other projects that we have going on!!!!

When you have finished your Shapes, send me a pm and I'll send you my address so that you can mail in your work.

You will be required to send your crocheted shapes in individual ziplock bags with your username and real name on each bag. In addition, you will need to send $10.00 for Flat Rate return postage. Thanks so much!!!!!! Have fun!!!

SE. ditto on the blue kote! It's a topical spray for livestock and its used on superficial injuries. Supposedly as a drying out agent on wounds. Tincture of violet,alcohol,etc..
Theres lots of stuff on the market in the livestock sections that they use BUT..if you read the labels will state: do not use if intended to slaughter!!!
Plus, lots of topical stuff thats been used for years on horses has now been know to cause cancer in humans!

Here I is gals, so hows everyone doing this windy morning?

I went out to take care of everyone and feed, and found 2 coops blown over from all this wind. thankgoodness there was noone in them. but I got the chickkidies feed, and the puppies, and that ole rotten horse. put a few extra nest boxes in the hen barn, and still not one egg!!!!

well I sent of my SS just to have it returned to me yesterday, apperantly not enough postage so I will stamp it up real good, and off it will go again, NoChickhere have and eye on the P. O. on tuesday or wednesday.

I sure hope you like it.

well can somebody kinda catch me up a bit on things as I just can't keep up right now, if I go back and read the last 5 pages it will take up most of my 2 hour puter time that dh is allowing me right now. kinda sucks but I do need the exercise, so if anyone could help me out for a while I would greatly appreicate it.

well guys he turned in his app on friday, he got up there and the guy he needed to talk to was there, but had to get all the works intructions on where to go and such so he told dh to give him jsut a few mins, so dh said ok I'll be parked over by the office under the light, well 20 mins went be and dh said he thought he saw the guys truck pull out of the yard, but he wasn't sure so he waited another 30 mins, and then went into the office and gave the secertary his app and said that he was waiting for the guy to talk to him but that he thought that he might have forgot and left and sure enough another gal came in an said that he was gone. LOL!! poor DH. so BIL aka dh's db called and said that the boss man talked to him and said that he had totally forgot that he was waiting to talk to him but would call him on monday. SO gals please cross your teeth, fingers and toes and pray that he calls and hires him. otherwise I am really going to lose my mind. I WANT MY HOUSE BACK!!!!!

well gals I made my first pair of socks with that toes up pattern and let me tell you about funnnnnnny one had a huge mungous heel and the other has a duck foot toe. LOL good thing was jsut making them for me!!!

who was it making the blue jean quilt? I am going to try to make one, this will be my first try at a quilt so I might need so help gals.

well I am going to start a amigurumi swap aka critter swap. sign-ups will start on the 1st of janurary, and will close on feb 1st. and then lets say need to done by the end of june and sent off, to your swap partners. How does that sound? And for those who don't do amig critters we will do a yarn and goodies swap for you. run it during the same time, and you can be in either or both. but make sure that if you are in the main spring swap that you stay on top of your shapes. Thats why I am going to make these swaps alot longer that way noone gets behind on spring swap and other at home projects. plus gives those who are new to all this a chance to learn and try out their new skills.

How do that sound everyone!!!! well let me know. I am going to up date the spring swap list on the front page so I will chat with ya'll later. Maw.

I was thinking about a new "List Thread" for the BYC Club. One that doesn't get posted to, just updated for the lists. Like the Secret Santa, Swap, and Adopt a Hooker Program and all the other member projects that we will have going on like the babyghan send off for Okie. This way we could have a thread that *just has the lists* on it and each list poster can Edit and update their own lists there - But NO OTHER Posts go there. Does that sound like a good idea? That way we can just say "check the list" on the main thread and head over and take a look. It would only require us to subscribe to that list thread.
The reposted lists *always* get buried so fast, that this was the idea I came up with.

Thoughts?
If you all like this idea I will open it with my 2 lists and Maw and SE can add theirs if they want, and the babyghan send off can go there too.
Karan! Can you help catch up Maw? You're really the best at the Reports!

Even *I* am feeling like I can't keep up now... maybe someone could adopt me too...

Mornin' all!! COLLLLD here in California! 32 degrees this morning. I'm a little worried about my citrus trees, gotta get them set up for the cold.

I usually hang regular old Christmas lights in them to turn on thru the night. That helps keep them from getting frostbite!

Maw, I was one that was making a denim rag quilt. There might have been someone else on the thread too, but I'm not sure. I know there are some others over on the Sewing/Quilt thread that are making them as well.. Let me know if you need any help.

Oh... you don't think a separate list thread would be good? I realized after I posted it that there would be sign up posts at least. I was sort of hoping this could be the Coffee Clutch Crochet Corner and the list one could be for the sign ups.

hmmm... I guess I thought we didn't want too many threads to keep track of so that just this one and the list one was my idea....
