I like to reference from photographs, especially when I'm drawing something that I have drawn very little of or haven't drawn before. But most of the time, I draw what I think of.

Yeah same here I like to draw from my mind mostly with dragons, but ya know that flower I posted earlier? I sketched the outline looking at a photo but shaded from my mind. You need to post one of your drawings!
