At least he is feeling better... I trotted him out the other day, he has had his pads/shoes on for only 5 days and there was a significant difference.

I have ALWAYS loved horses!!! When my Mom divided up the family pictures a few years ago, everyone from about day one was on a horse of some sort, plastic, stuffed, etc......

I have mostly Arabians, a few Half Arabians, plus a Paint stallion and a Clydesdale mare.Twenty in all!! TOO many!! I am trying to sell a few, but there are so many that I CAN'T sell, it reallly won't make a big difference, LOL

I wish I could post pictures, but I get along well with horses, but NOT computers, so no pics.....

Samtheman, I love your Clydes!! Will you ship me some semen before you geld that stallion?????

I love horses!!!! I use to be in Horse 4-H and then i got to old

!! I am a district champion Barrel Racer and the one year I had made it to states My Thunderbolt Spooked and threw me I was injured and disqualified.

HORSES ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am 23 and love horses. I have a almost 10 year paint horse, also my mom rides my ex-reining horse, hunter horse, and anything else you could thing of because he is pretty much an all around horse.

I am love to show western pleasure at some open horse shows in my area of Florida. Eventually I would love to show in Paint shows but I am a broke college student looking for a job. I also used to show hunter/jumper and would still love to do that because my paint would have that ability, but unfortunately my english saddle does not fit him. Oh Well. I am so glad I came across this thread and I am glad that there are others here that share my passion for horses.

Hi! I've been riding since I could walk & competing in English showing, jumping & dressage from 9. I made the National team which was an awesome experience. I've been training horses for years too & now that I live in Israel, that's what I do with about 30 horses. I had to leave my S.A. Boerperd (google the breed) stallion behind when I moved which was terrible but it's really great here.This was him:

It's really beautiful here & I live at the foot of a bush clad mountain right on the Mediterranean. I wouldn't live anywhere else not even the offers I've had for the USA. It's just too wonderful here. I live on a modern kibbutz (google it

Our entire family rides. Unlike a lot of you though we are very western. I have ridden English quite a bit in the past. My husband did some roping when he was young and his Dad has horses and rode shetlands to school when he was young. We sold my middle daughter's first horse this summer and my fil at 86 had to have a final ride on that mare. It was wonderful. He hopped up there in tennis shoes and took her round like a pro. My two daughter's are competitive in the American Cutting Horse Association. All my kids started on ponies and my son is getting more skills so he can compete in cutting here really soon. I manage a couple of horses at another ranch and have retrained one from the ground up. She was a mess and one of the meanest horses I had met in a long time. We use to raise and train all our horses for basic ranch work and then to send on in a working cow horse direction if need be. I do know of one of our babies that made it to New York and last I heard was very competitve at barrels. I haven't bred anything for a while since the market is horrible. Right now we have several horses and they are as follows....all the QH are Cutting bred
Our youngest QH:
2 yr old black filly
2 yr old sorrel gelding
3 yr old sorrel filly

Then our ponies are:
2 yr old pinto mini mare
3 yr old silver dapple/white pinto shetland gelding
4 yr old red roan pinto shetland gelding
5 yr old POA/Shetland cross mare
and watching a sorrel pinto mare for a friend who is due very soon to foal. She is a mini only about 29 inches tall.

Our performance crew and older QH horses:
4 yr old Liver Chestnut Cutting Gelding
20 yr old Bay Ranch Mare (my son's)
22 yr old Sorrel Cutting Gelding (my middle daughter's)
24 yr old Sorrel Cutting Gelding (my oldest's daughter's)
And yes, both of those older cutting horses are sound and look like babies compared to their real ages. They LOVE their jobs.

I don't know what we would do without horses around here! LOL
