BYC Family, I need a Pick - Me- Up :(

I don't know about the Marines but they are grunt work LOL as my Dad said. Hubby was in the Navy and my father was in the Air Force. My sis was in the Army for at least 10 years.

Hearing their stories, basic training is basically almost the same but friends in the Marines say theirs are the hardest job they ever had but they are proud of it!

Regardless of what branch you want to go, I say go for it, get your mom's signature and be done with it. Heck with Dad.....he will come around, feeling proud of you once you stand in ceremony and one day he can look back and said, crap, what have I done NOT to get her to her duty for the country! If he is not proud, then it is one worthless dad to have around, IMO!

As for the wake up time, get an alarm clock, and get use to timing your body up that early so you don't feel like dragging butt when you are at basic training.

Go and make us proud of you to serve our country!!!!!!!
