They would've already but I pinched them about a week ago, and they still grew 6 more inches. That's huge! I can't wait to see it when it flowers.
I have found that sometimes cuttings are taken from the wrong end of the plant. Have you tried root cuttings? It may or may not work...but it might be worth a try. Just get a piece of root about as thick as a pencil and about three inches long and bury in a pot. They seem to work best when the plant is dormant.I've been trying to root cuttings off it for the last 3 years with no success. :/
Thanks.

They're Crackerjack marigolds which are african and supposed to get 2 to 3 ft tall.Dan, I bet that marigold is an American one. The French ones are much smaller. (those are the ones that are usually sold at the nurseries. American marigolds grow about 24" tall.
Nice!Dan I bought some marigolds that are about 12" tall already and they are still growing also. I think the pkg. said 18" tall.
I bought some straight neck squash, a jalapeno pepper, and a Japanese egg plant today along with 2 more bags of potting soil so we can set up another kiddie pool garden tomorrow.
I still have several tomato plants that need to go into larger growing areas.
