I can see how that would make a lot of sense, to rent out when moving on. We're a little more--ahem--advanced and need to downsize.

So many bugs this year. The bas.tards are eating everything. I can't believe it. I never had to spray vegetables or flowers but this year its just crazy. So much rain and clouds it is not helping.
Does anyone have a flower garden like me? My backyard is a jungle of trees shrubs and flowers. Almost no grass at all.

No kidding, it's the year of the bugs. I had aphids in my Aerogarden in winter, and now they have somehow found the table where my starts are. I can't believe I have to start after them so early. The slugs are already chewing whatever they can find in the garden, so I'm waylaying them, and I think there's a vole up there. I thought I was rid of her, but I see the exits and bait them.

I agree the bugs are terrible we did not have a winter to kill them off. I have been fighting them and the birds off out of my garden. I had to go buy some bird netting to keep the dang Mocking bird out of my huge tomato plant that is loaded with tomatoes. She was killing the whole middle of my plant. She yelled at me the whole time I was putting the netting over the plant after I got all her sticks out of my tomato plant.
They ate all but one of my apples I hand pollinated! UGH! Going camping this weekend. I need a break!

I usually try to grow enough that's there enough for the critters to have a nibble here and there but it doesn't hurt my harvest. This year though.... Jeez

I'm with ya'll on the bug issue. Harvested the shepherd's purse today and they were CRAWLING with aphids and whitefly. Liberal application of peppermint soap mixed with water is helping a lot.

Where did you find peppermint soap? I need some.

I use Dr. Bronner's. I have a 16 ounce bottle. I also make my own.
