BYC Help! WHAT HAPPENED to POSTING???

"Those still having problems ... reply to this thread ..."

I usually talk/type entirely too much, but I'll try 'n be brief ...

The suggestions in my previous post may no longer be req'd, but around line 80 or 81 of your code, nested w/in a child element ...

Might that be the reason the font loads w/o end, unless/until it crashes?
I tried to duplicate the problem in a test page, but failed to do more than choke IE9's parser a few times; froze it up, but never looped.

One more thing, in regard to askin' folks to not view in compatibility mode ...

... and, I apologize for stickin' my nose in your business; most folks in the top 20K don't really need this plowboy's advice ~'-)

I've seen page loads slow down at that point, referencing stuff stored on third party servers is generally a drag...

There's yet another odd behavior w/in Microsoft's finest, in that it pauses all page downloads until all CSS finishes ... no big deal for most, but could become far more significant for others.
Comments like the following are proprietary to IE (since 5.5, I think), and placing and empty one exactly like this one ...

... before attempting to load any external resource(s) allows all to continue w/o delays.
Seems that nobody can explain why IE does what IE does or, for that matter, why this works (but, it does ~'-)

Where do we put all of that code?

Sorry ... seems I'm just muddyin' up the water here.

The various code suggestions I've made in this thread go on the server side, as html/css w/in the documents themselves, or as directives w/in apache's httpd.config or .htaccess files. And, it's stuff that those behind BYC probably didn't need to hear from me (feel free to send me a message ~'-)

The stuff they *do* need to hear about are exactly what problems folks like you 'n me are still having, and very specific details about the systems/browers that have trouble w/ BYC, as explained best by Nifty-Chicken in his post about this issue.

It is just slow computer functioning, that's all. Mine did that, too and I was freaked out!!!

But then it loaded the little bar and I went back to this--

I use Google Chrome, so I guess I just have a slow server...?
