I've ordered from Patternworks before and never had any problems, hope you get your yarn soon.

I just stumbled over this post and haven't had time to read all the entries but I'm excited that there are so many here who also knit.

I taught myself how to knit when I was 7, Mom bought me a craft kit for Christmas that had a set of knitting needles and some yarn in it. I sat down with the instructions and worked it out myself. She then bought me a big book on how to knit, crochet and tat, and a couple of skeins of yarn, not to tell you how old I am now, but I still have that book and the price tag on the front says .25. I never had any leasons but we did have a neighbor who could knit anything and she showed me how to do a long tail cast on and how to do cables and I've been in love with knitting ever since.

Have any of you checked out Ravelry? I love to go there and cruise the patterns and the yarn!

I called them - a full 11 days after I placed my order - they have me in their computer as owing them $3.00, my receipt says paid in full.
The woman I spoke with said she would have her manager call me, that was 2 days ago... I have heard nothing from them.
I am about to cancel my order & have them refund the person who gave me the gift certificate. I redid all the math to see if they were right, and I was actually OVERCHARGED by their computer & they owe me $3.00, not the other way around. Infuriating.

Ooooh...a thread about my 2 most favorite things, chickens and knitting! I've written a few chicken inspired knitting patterns, like this one.

A typical Saturday morning for me involves a lawn chair, mug of coffee, knitting, and watching my chickens for at least an hour (weather-permitting of course). I have one EE who loves to watch me knit. She always perches on the arm of my chair. I can't wait for spring so I can have more chicken watching knitting time. Does anyone else do this?

I like to play music out there in the yard in the spring & summer months. The ducks get very involved when we get together to play with friends. They come stand in the middle of us & nibble on the stand up bass.

Gosh, I miss the warm months in the garden & yard.

I am in sleeve purgatory ladies. It is my least favorite thing about sweaters. THERE ARE TWO OF THEM!!!! I need to learn how to knit 2 at a time on circular needles.

Any good knitting movie suggestions so I can power through these sleeves? The sweater COULD go quickly if I could barrel through them.
