BYC members in Massachusetts?

Wait... upon Google inspection, it IS the road I am thinking of... or at least, it connects to it. And you are not far from me, depending on how far on it you live

I live in a neighborhood called Newcombs Mill.

Not sure where that is but nice :)

And actually, my mom tells me 1. It's a different road than the one I was thinking, a bit earlier, I was thinking of 80, and 2. She says it's a nice neighborhood and they looked at a house in there when we first moved here. Small world LOL

I need to do more investigating on the side roads and such around here in case I ever need to find something there and just for fun. I mostly just go on the highway between exits 10 and 7 and sometimes down to 5. And on 3A

Lol maybe! We moved up here like 20 years ago though so depends on how recently it was built LOL

So sorry for being creepy but is it like a cul-de-sac/neighborhood and closer together place or do you have more room?

Millville!

No flock yet. We've just ordered the chicks, 2 each of speckled sussex, buff orpington, salmon faverolle, and buff brahma, which should be in mid-April.

Can't wait!

I live in Upton so very close to you. Actually I was in Millville the other day. Its even smaller than Upton. I was actually at those antique mills in Uxbridge looking for windows for my coop and someone there gave me a tip for a place in Millville with windows so off we went. I didn't find anything so unfortunately I'm still looking for another window. I really wanted a speckled sussex but there were none available for my hatch date. Where did you order from? Have you built your coop yet? Im almost done with my coop and it has been quite the adventure. I ordered from Meyers and I got 15 plus the meal maker but I plan on giving 8 away to a friend. I would love to keep them all but I don't want to overcrowd my coop. I really think it would be wiser to start smaller and then maybe add a few next year but I couldnt resist all the different breeds. I already want to add some blue egg layers as I was unable to get any for my hatch date. I ordered:
2 Buff Orpingtons
2 Lavender Orpingtons
2 Barred Rocks
2 Partridge Cochin
1 White rock
1 Swedish Flower Hen
1 Light Brahma
1 Gold Laced Wyandotte
1 Barnevelder
1 Meyers Meal Maker

Can't wait. Dont forget to post pictures!

Merrymouse - If you decide not to keep the Lavender Orps, I will buy them from you! I want some SOOOOOO badly! The breeds you selected are all good, cold hardy breeds which will serve you well during wintertime. I've gotten some ornamental chickens (mainly Polish) and they are just too delicate, IMO. I know the Chicken Chick has Polish and she lives in CT, but I have had 5 and none of them have survived a winter.

KDOG - Can I call you Kelsey? Ok, great!

My neighborhood is huge! At both far ends of my street there are cul-de-sacs. Most of the houses have a decent amount of space, they're not crammed together like they are on Nobadeer. (Street before my neighborhood off of 106.) Our lot is actually on the corner so we have essentially two lots. I think it's about an acre and a half.
I don't think much is creepy, so don't worry! Any chicken lady is a friend of mine! DM me and we can be FB buddies, if you want!
