I'd put a totally off topic section (and make it a within reason off topic section--like gas prices)...

And maybe make a separate ''Everything Else for Sale" category for people advertising signage, artwork, dogs, horses, etc....

A category for venting about life's aggravations
called "Oh Chicken Poop"

A category for those lengthy discussions that everyone has to post their viewpoint called "My Two Cents".

Instead of "Me, My chickens, my family" call it "Life outside the Chicken Coop" where you can chat about yourself or your family , except chickens

I like these ideas already mentioned,

-topic on sexing baby chicks by breed, age, charecteristics
-7-14-18 day photos of candling
-seperate buy, sell, trade, free sections
-newbie section/expanded faq
-section for poultry / livestock laws and current related news

And since I'm a Canadian, maybe an International section where those of us not in the US can more easily find resources in our area?

*Edited to add - I also think a Poll feature would be nice!
